Some links on Hange are affiliate links. If you buy a laptop after following one, we may earn a commission from the retailer. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same either way.
What commission does not affect
It does not affect which laptops we recommend, or the order they appear in.
That is a structural fact rather than a promise. The ranking is computed from six measured scores and the answers you gave, and it is finished before any retailer link is attached to a result. There is no commission figure anywhere in the code that decides the order, because retailer links are looked up afterwards, for laptops that have already been chosen.
A laptop we earn nothing on can and does come first. A laptop with no buying link at all can come first.
Who we may earn from
We participate, or intend to participate, in affiliate programmes run by retailers and manufacturers including Best Buy, Amazon, Lenovo and HP. Programme membership changes over time; this page is updated when it does.
What we do not do
- Sponsored placements — no manufacturer can pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be described differently
- Paid reviews — we do not accept payment or free hardware in exchange for coverage
- Hidden links — an outbound retailer link is visible as one
Prices and availability
Prices change constantly, and the figure we show is the most recent one we hold from the source named beside it. Always check the price on the retailer’s own page before buying — theirs is the one that applies. Where we hold a price we cannot state reliably in your currency, we use it only to place a laptop in a budget range and do not show it as a figure.
